I can not believe...

that I have not posted anything here in soooo long... I was never very good at commitment to anything... although I have been happily married for nearly 33 years so that has to count for something... doesn't it!!!
Oh well... I haven't scrapped in ages either... the christmas new year break (for some, I have not stopped working yet)seemed to get a hold of me... what with rain rain and more rain and then the floods, floods and more floods, the sitting on the road for 11 hours on christmas eve waiting for the water to go down so we could get to my daughters place to have christmas with the whole family... more rain... storms every day... and the heat... and work... can't wait for holidays... officially start on the 24th January and I have a wonderful 6 weeks off...the benefits of doing shift work!!! I have so much cleaning to do around the house, so the first week of hols will be taken up with cleaning the house and culling some stuff... I am not really a hoarder but let's just say unwanted stuff does seem to accumulate...I have 9 more days of actual work left...I think I will do some scrapping now... I nearly forgot I have a grandson to scrap... Oh no I haven't done a single thing in scrapping to celebrate his birth... I feel so terrible...best off and rectify that right now... will be back with some completed layouts of him...

Jessie and Evie...

I am back...

It has been soooooo long since I posted here... I had nearly forgotten that my blog existed. I have been on holidays and have been having a wonderful time just trying to get my house in order... We are finally on our own again. The 2nd youngest child who had moved away to university and had taken a couple of years off study for health reasons and had then moved back home to manage the local Maccas store has gone back to study this year and moved back to the city to live with her youngest sister. She also got her licence finally after 6 years of learners permits!!! At 23 she is all growed up and makes me very proud.
we also went on a trip to the other side of the continent and had a great time touring around wineries and breweries (?spelling?) Anyway I was none too keen on wine before the holiday but I can now kinda see what all the fuss was about. We bought some to bring home. It is in the fridge waiting for the right moment to drink. I also bought several Tea towels. I have decided it is the best memento from travels as it is something that is used often and never gets dusty sitting on a shelf like ornaments. I also took millions of photos. Now to put them all into layouts.... Well I will when I finished the 24,000 other projects that I hAnyhoo ave planned for this year. One day I will actually make a list of what I want to achieve and then maybe it will give me the incentive to finish most of what I have started. Anyhoo I will be off to compress some layouts to post in this blog so I can come back one day and see how pretty they are.
